Need a Burner...which one to get?

Ok, I need a burner, and I like the following (all prices from newegg):

Lite-On 24x10x40x $87
Lite-On 32x12x40x $120
Plextor 24x10x40x $146

Now, I've got up to $150 for this burner, so which one would do me best?

thanks.

Some would say Plextor (I would have 9 months ago) but since I stopped being a Plexfreak I've bought 2 Lite-Ons and loved them both. No problems, excellent burning, no coasters and full compatibility with CDRWin/FireBurner/Nero/CloneCD/EZCD/Everything

I recommend the fastest Lite-On you can afford.

I just ordered myself a Plextor 24x10x40, in black. I would've gotten the black Lite-On, but Newegg doesn't seem to able to get it in stock. Oh well. Guess I'll see how I like Plextor.

The one thing I like about the Plextor just from the specs is the 4 MB buffer vs 2 in the comparable Lite-On's.

[EDIT]Crap, figures they'd be in stock when I say they aren't.

Oh well, Plextor it is.[/EDIT]

Viper GTS

The only thing that is making me consider Plextor is the 4 MB cache on it vs. the 2 MB on Lite-On. The 4 MB cache is on the 24x Plextor's on up.....

I would go for the Lite-On 32X personally, with your budget, because it supports the Mt. Rainier format IIRC. The Rainier format is sort of like DirectCD/InCD's packet writing, but it doesn't require performing a lengthy format procedure before using the CDRWs, and AFAIK you don't lose 120Megs of space for overhead like DCD/InCD.
