There are a lot of options out there. I've read Howard Forums as well, and there was a strong recommendation for the Samsung WEP200, based on its reception clarity. I'd like to keep the cost below $75, but if there's an outstanding model for slightly more I'll consider it.

As a secondary question, where is a good place to buy cell phone accessories online?

I love my Plantronics 640. Small and lightweight, cool case that holds all it's peices and a backup battery charger, good clarity and range, nice volume control on the unit, microphone seems good, the ear gels it comes fit and feel nice too.

I went with a Motorola H3, which matches the RAZR design quite nicely. I also like the fact that it has a miniUSB charger port, and comes with a cable that splits your standard moto travel charger into two ports (one for your phone, one for your headset.) The audio quality is above average (both inbound + outbound) thanks to noise suppression. My only gripe is that if I tilt my head the headset tends to "wag" and the audio volume isn't all that loud on its loudest setting (but covering my other ear helps when I'm in a loud area.)

I believe the H3 is Bluetooth 1.2 (EDR)--generally you should avoid any headset that doesn't do EDR. Not sure if Bluetooth 2.0 makes any difference for headsets??

the reason i like my jabra jx10 is for the size really and in-ear fitting.

its about the size of a stamp, comes with an ear hook and fits in your ear.

before that i had a jabra bt800 and my gf and friends made fun of me because it looked like i was wearing an airplane wing on the side of my head.

but this one is small and sleek. so if thats what youre looking for, (and the sound is good too), go for it. im sure the others have their pluses and minuses too.

the jx10 battery like is around 3 hours or so, but a long time on standby. i rarely talk, so it fits me good.

Then why do you have one? Do you just walk around with it stuck to your ear?

I don't use mine to talk either. I use it primarily when I'm at work for connecting to a BT dongle and listening to Internet radio while being able to walk around the building to do processing jobs.

I so recommend against this unit. I've tried 3 of them, both A and B revision, on multiple phones. Static everytime.

I personally recommend the Samsung WEP200.

Howardforums's Bluetooth/Headset forum basically regards the Plantronics Voyager 510 at the definitive best headset. But it's bulky/nerdy-looking (at least moreso than other headsets) and the buttons are a bit finicky. With the exception of wind noise reduction, I've found the WEP200 to perform equally well. Many others have reported the same on HF.

i mean, i do receive phone calls, and i mainly use it behind the wheel. i mean i dont gab on the phone for hours like a teenage girl, thats what i meant; i was referring to the life of it on a single charge. :)
