Need a bit of help with iPhone

Ok, so I got a plan for the iphone that has unlimited texting.

I text my friends, and they texted me back, but I was not able to receive their texts.


I had my sister text me, and I recieved the message. In fact, I was able to have a conversation, yet I'm unable to receive texts from friends.

This has been confusing me for a while, any ideas and help? Yes, I'm checking the right places, my SMS Text bar, but it's not working.

Are they sending you MMS?

It's starting to work now, I think it takes like a day for the iphone to start receiving messages or something.

Well, I'm having issues with this too; apparently people who have AT&T can text me back, and I'll get their messages, but when its someone using a verizon phone, they get my text, but when they text me back, I never receive that text.

Any suggestions?

My brother has ATT and I have verizon. Whenever we text each other either they are really delayed, or they never show up.

Did you try calling AT&T?
