My friend's dad told me he would give me 30 bucks if i could fix his computer.
He had a corrupt o/s and i reinstalled win xp pro. He has a sata raid array for a storage drive. his primary is an ide. After i did this the raid array shows up in bios, but i cant see it in windows. Do i need to install drivers or something? any input is appreciated. Thanks

Most likely, yes. But how did he have his RAID array configure, and what controller was he using? Was he using the motherboards RAID controller, or did he have them setup in Windows (*shiver*), or does he actually have a real controller for them?

They are plugged into the sata raid plugs on the mobo. It shows up with the word "array" in the bios, so im pretty sure its motherboard controlled. Ill try to see if I can install it with the device manager. I only installed windows over the windows files.. so all the other files on the main disk are still there. If all else fails I'll tell him to give me his driver disk. If nothing else works then I hope he likes losing data. 🙂
btw thanks j00fek for the advise as well.
