Need a BIOS update for a 200 mhz AST Bravo

Any ideas where to get this at? The original hard drive just went bad, so I purchased a 40 gb from newegg. When I try to fdisk and format, it says there's only 16 mb on the drive. I think I'm in serious need of a bios upgrade. It's off a BRAVO MS 5200M - 3000C\95 model. Can't really find any markings on the motherboard, so I'm assuming AST made their own? Any help appreciated.

Since it's a 200, it must be pre 2/1999 manufacture. Did you try these guys?

Yeah...I think I found the newest bios upgrade....but it's like 3 years old and only supports up to 8.4 gb according to the guy who emailed me back from there.

I did everything the guy and the readme file said to do, but the disk isn't bootable like it's supposed to be to flash.

An add-in IDE controller card with a BIOS may work. Like a Promise. Or SCSI.

I got it up and running now showing all 40 gbs. I had to download the seagate starting installation software and it worked like a champ.
