I have a family member who wants a 5 ~ 7 page website but I didn't inherit any creativity genes from the folks. I can do a very basic webpage but its the kind of thing you might find on GeoCities or something. Amateur.
She teaches puppy training and wants a Flash photo album of the students (and dogs) in her classes, along with an 'about' page briefly discussing her methods, an education page (tips and guides for puppy training), a form tool so people can sign-up for the class, and a class schedule/calender as well as the usual related info (fees, location and directions to the class, disclaimer). Eventually she wants a discussion forum, but I can actually do that for her.
It is important that she be able to update some of the content herself as needed (class shedules, adding a new article on puppy training or behavior, et. al.). She is not illiterate about how to load an HTML page into an editor and find the editable regions.
Her budget is not more than $300 for the whole ball of wax, including copyright ownership of the site (she will of course give credit for design). Works out to be around $50 per page figuring six pages. That is low, I know, but she is on a budget. She is not looking for one of those whiz-bang Flash and multimedia heavy designs or anything.
If interested, please PM or post a link to some of your work, to discuss further. TIA!
Forgot to add that I have a Linux hosting package from 1 & 1 and I'm giving her some webspace and bandwidth. She also has the domain registered and everything is ready. Just need to upload content.
