Need a 400w PSU optimized for 3.3v/5v

I want to upgrade to a 400W PSU, but I'm running a Abit KT7-RAID with Athlon Tbird CPU, and that draws power from the 3.3v and 5v rails. All of the PSUs available today seem to assume that the mobo and CPU will draw power from the 12v rail, because they have low (like 130w or 150w) output on the 3.3v and 5v rails. I want a PSU that has at least 180w (preferrably over 200w) output on the 3.3v and 5v rails. Are there any of those available now?

You can try the older Antec Smartpower and Truepower.

Not sure whether they're available new, but you should be able to get your hands on some used ones.

Huh? 200W on the 3.3V and 5V?

I'm sure a modern Antec TruePowerII 430W would be more than enough.

Hey sltech,

Welcome to the Anandtech Forums.

The Sparkle (Fortron) FSP400-60PFN that I'm selling in FS/T is rated at 235W (3.3V+5V). It has active PFC, full range AC tolerance and a thermally controlled fan. I have already modified it with blue (non-UV) easy-grip Molex connectors. I just changed to a mobo that needs the power distribution the other way around (heavy on the +12), so I have this one for sale. Just click on the link in my sig. Works great and looks like new!

Good suggestion from Zepper. I recently bought the Zalman branded version of that power supply (couldn't find the Fortron model) for my system, which also still uses the +5V rail for CPU power. It's done a good job so far.
