Need 4 Speed Pro Street Speed Issue

All the time the speedometer shows the right speed but the race summary is always wrong.

I notice this trend with NFS Unlimited, NFS Carbon and NFS Pro Street editions. What is going on?

that's the sum of all the speeds registered at the checkpoints in the race

Speed trap mode. You have to have the highest accumulated speed through the traps to win the race. You can get there first and still lose the race if you're too slow in Speed Trap races.

i hate those speed trap modes in Most Wanted, especially later on in the games, because sometimes the checkpoint is like in the middle of a big curve or shortly after one, so it makes way harder to get up to speed or keep your speed.
