Hi all-
I'm trying to figure out what the bottleneck is with my current setup as I'm only getting 2650ish on 3DMark.

Cel2 633@790
128meg PC133(generic)
Abit VL6 mobo
Voodoo3 2000 PCI

Seems to me that it's likely the vid card, but I just wanted input before I pony up for a new card. Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I'm kinda new to tweaking.

Thanks,
Mark

I would have to agree its your video card

Cel2 @ 790 should be plenty, and while more ram is always nice its not gonna make a huge difference
A GF2 would bump that up nicely

Your numbers are just about right for your system. I'm seeing about 3300 running a V3-2000 o/c to 172 driven by a PIII-800/992MHZ. The Gforce2 cards are way faster.

It is definitely the video card. I have a cel2566@850 with a 32MB GTS (stock) and I get about 4600. Good Luck.

dump the video card.

a plain old overclocked geforce DDR should pump about 4900-5000 on that box :)

Your video card is the bottleneck. You need to upgrade! Get either a Nvidia GeForce2 or ATI Radeon card. You will be very happy with the results! :D
