Need 3 LCD's

not for gaming for graphic design work, photoshop, illustrator, etc. what do u suggest, or should i get an sony CRT and 2 supporting LCD's, before i was throwing the idea in the air but 2day i landed a big design contract and want a nice setup

Every once in a while, dell has a "Buy 2 LCDs get 1 free!" deal. A peculiar deal but quite the bargain. As far as what LCD to get, just try to get something with a really good contrast ratio. If you want to get in on the deal, you'll have to hang around the faatwallet all the time until the deal pops up.

I thought that LCDs still didn't have the best color reproduction in some areas, and that a high end CRT would thus be better for graphics design. :confused:

Not that it matters, though, because color profiles for devices are a joke anyway. From what my aunt (who works in a printing business) says, color matching is a thing you learn to do in your head. She says that one color on the CRT will look different on their color laser, and different on a direct imaging press, and different yet again if they send the image to film.

Yeah, last time I checked graphic designers and 3D animators were still holding on to their CRTs. Guess this guy isn't.
