I'm looking to add a 1TB raid 1 array to my workstation. I have a sata raid controller (pci), and want to use it simply for storage. I have a raptor that I use as my main drive, and a 400GB sata drive (direct to motherboard) that I have all my music on. I will put my music on the 1TB cluster, and move my videos to the 400GB sata drive.

I'm looking at the drives on Newegg, and would like to keep it under $110 per drive. Cheaper is better (but will pay more if it means avoiding a drive thats known to have problems).

I have a USB 1TB drive that I will do weekly backups too.

Recommendations? I'm trolling through other threads now.
 
WD caviars are good. Black, blue or green should be fine. My dad got to blacks, and may raid 1 them.
