My grandfather gave me a flask today that was his Great grandfathers from England. Probably dating back to mid to late 1800's or early 1900's. There is a logo on the bottom of the silver piece. I would like to know any info on and perhaps some of you have better knowledge in this area than myself. Here is the pic of the logo.

We have some silver stuff around with hallmarks on the bottom that are of a stag's head and upper body. We had them appraised and did the history of them and they came back Scottish in origin...mid- to late-18th century. My guess is yours would have somewhat the same general history maybe?

There's a hallmark repository online somewhere...google should pull it up. It gives generalities however so it may not match.

Think yours was Lamson and Goodnow.

925-1000.com has a forum where you can post a photo and ask for info. They'll want to see the entire piece as well as the closeup of the hallmark.
