Nee Help ASAP with dead SD CARD

ok im on vacation right now and my Canon zr850 minidv camera also takes photos on an sd card, well all of the sudden today the camera said card error. Now the camera says the card needs to be initialized and windows says same thing. I really need to get the 400+ pictures off of there. I have tried various programs but not having much luck. Please anyone help
