In bed at 9-10 pm M-F. Up at 6:00. Usually go running after work 5-6 miles every other day. I bike to work and do a light workout with free weights on non running days.

Nearly all of my meals are self prepared, I would say very healthy foods. No ground beef and little cheese or dairy outside of Greek yogurt. Snacks are generally fruit or nuts.

I guess it's possible that I was already pretty healthy before starting juicing, so that's why I'm not seeing any effect in any way.

The basic juice I've been doing is 1 green apple, 1 cucumber, 5 kale leaves, half a lemon, 3 carrots, slice of ginger root. I have a centerfugal juicer so not sure how well that does at extracting the kale juice.

That's like 99% healthier than most Americans, so I'd say you're good :D

Avoid adding sugar and sweeteners. Try not to use too much fructose (fruit), or at least, not all the time.

The 'juice' flavor was really disagreeable to me. Had to struggle to get a cup down. I used to cheat and pop a couple miracle fruit first, and even then it was a miserable experience.

Switched over to smoothies and I drink them like a champ. My mix could be healthier, but every smoothie is giving me a handful of carrots, kale, and/or spinach. Couldn't stand having a morning juice before, but now I make my smoothie without issue/complaint. Personal preference I guess.

It takes me a good 3 hours to juice. It's way too time consuming for me to do but I need to start it back up soon.

What were you mixing? I find that fresh lemon and ginger are very powerful, so you can mask a lot of the vegetable taste with those. I find the juice to be quite good.

Juicing is too much of a pain to make just 8oz , it's takes longer to scrub the juicer parts afterwards than to make that much.

I usually make around 30oz at once and drink it over two days. Cold pressed juice not exposed to air (Aka completely full mason jar) can last 36 hours. You can push 72 if you mix in a little (little for taste, don't ruin it!) premade pasteurized apple juice in the full jar.

I do both. Smoothies are single meal replacements, juices are daily vegetable portions.
