Necessary components for Pioneer PD-F407

Always used just a boombox for my audio needs, although now wanting to upgrade, but have no idea just what is required. Want to get a Pioneer multi-disc CD player. I know it requires speakers. Anything else absolutely essential to get it to work? I'm not interested in unnecessary stuff like record player, picking up radio stations, and so on.

You'll need some type of amp or receiver to tie it into depending on your needs. The easiest thing would be to buy a decent(doesn't need to be expensive) receiver and run the CD changer through that.

Well, I'd still rather avoid the radio stations tuner, if possible, and I think maybe these two don't have it, but not sure:

Are either tuner-free, and if so, will either work for the CD Player? If so, will either allow later upgrade to cheap Surround Sound speakers?

You could just pick up a pair of active studio monitors. And some RCA cables.
