NEC VERSA 6200MX and Infineon RAM

I have a NEC VERSA 6200MX notebook into which I am trying to install a stick of Infineon Ram - INFINEON/NEC 64MB PC100/PC66 144PIN SODIMM so64. However this RAM is not recognised by the system. What could be the problem here? Bad RAM??
