NEC Versa 6060 Laptop

I bought a used Versa 6060 Laptop computer, it came with a HI-Capacity ac adapter that works fine. I bought a battery from Ebay and when I put it in the computer it had a 95% charge on it. I disconnected the ac power supply to run the system off the battery and drained it to 0%. When I plugged the power supply back in to charge the battery, the battery icon blinks about 5 times and then stops charging. If I unplug the ac supply from the laptop and plug it back in, it does the same thing, blinks a few times and then stops charging.

Anyone know whats up with this? I have tried to no avail to find parts on the Web, NEC's site is useless and basically I'm looking for the part numbers and the external battery charger that will charge the OP-570-62001 battery.

If anyone has a good site to find NEC parts please let me know.
