I know this is old technology but you don't see to many laptops under $300. Doesn' t look like it has a CD drive and it only has a 28.8 modem.

BUY.COM

Only 5 left at time of post.

Price is $329.99 - $30 off $300 coupon (expires today) = $299.99

Free shipping this weekend. (I may have misread this)

I just recently got a laptop from eDay. Yeah I know you run the risk of getting scammed but I got a good deal on a Compaq Armada P266/ 64MB / 4.1 GB /56k for about $330. It runs perfect and the only thing remotely wrong with it is a few minor scratches. Just search for "Compaq Armada, 266 MHZ, 56K Internet Ready!!" to find the guy I got it from (And no that guy is not me so don't even waste your time flaming me :) ) He has like a 180 positive feedback rating without any negatives though. Just another poor college student here passing on something I found. Thanks.

Just a heads-up on these old NECs. Unless they're supplying a new battery then you'll probably find yourself plugging it into the AC adapter to use it. The batteries die pretty quickly.

Layzee...

Not too bad a deal you got, he's got another one up for bid and
he has some decent prices on his webpage as well.

I dropped $450 for a NEC Versa LX 266MHz laptop a month or so ago
for my wife. Of course, it cost a bit more, but considering it had
floppy and CD built in, 128MB RAM, 10GB HD, and a 14.1" active LCD,
I think the price was okay.

Wiseguy..that's a great deal you got. The other good thing is that the battery that came with my laptop lasts about 2 hours. I was surprised since they usually don't warranty the batteries. I'm thinking about buying the pcmcia 2x Dvd Drive from tigerdirect.com for $99 I believe. I already bought a DVD decoder card so the P266 will be able to handle playing DVDs.
