I plan to buy a NEC P221W monitor. NEC seems rather adamant that the most accuracy way to calibrate this monitor is with their SpectraView II hardware/software. Interestingly, the SpectraView II puck is a modified Eye One Display 2 unit tweaked for several NEC wide-gamut monitors like the P221W.
My question: Will a "standard" Eye One Display 2, Spyder3 or other 3rd-party colorimeter accurately calibrate the NEC P221W?
Thank you for your help.
