NEC ND-6500A cannot burn Memorex DVD-Rs

hey guys. i'm having a real problem burning with these discs. I've finally gotten my drive to read them, but i cannot write to them.

they are the 16x DVD-R discs (CMC MAG. AM3 according to DVD Identifier). i have no clue what to do next to the firmware to allow it to burn these discs.

am i out of luck?

You mention firmware. Have you upgraded your drive to the latest firmware available? I have a 3500A, it required a new firmware to burn those discs.

yea. it's updated to the latest firmware but still no luck. i dont get what's going on. i might try dell support soon.

I have a Pioneer DVR-111D and recently got Sony DVD-Rs...purchased a 50pk and down to 35 all in coasters... i stay away from -R's...+R's burn perfectly
