Earlier today this drive was going for 57.99. I cleared the cart and searched again and it went to 59.99. I was pissed that I cleared the cart. This is an internal drive according to the link. Good deal, but not an external, which would be a fantastic deal.

hmm, no software -- should I go for the version with the (ugg) Roxio DVD Creator sw here or should I pick up something else (Nero) -- any suggestions?

I haven't used Roxio in it's fullest for about 2 years but I have taken a look at the software and even though it's better then the roxio of old, it still does not compare to Nero in my book.

Bananapc is a very respectable company that sells the non ultra versions which are still better than Roxio IMO.

Nice deal. I got this same one when it was $61 shipped. Though I have requested an RMA on this one, since it is burning 4x media at 2x. Plus it has problems reading HL2 and Doom3 cd's. Even though all these troubles, my first 3520a I bought(beige) works great. No problems at all. I will still end up getting another black 3520a for my new setup so I can have two 3520A's on the same system and able to record two discs at once.

Another option if your not sure which burning software to go with is to download the trial versions of Nero Ultra but I can't seem to find a trial for Roxio. You can also download a freeware program that does a lot of the basics of burning DVDs and CDs called CD BurnerXP Pro It's a pretty good software and worth a look.
