...see posts below...apparently there are some lame rules... =)

Well, I jumped on it & used a good cc incase of any problems.

Nice 1st post euphonywho. 🙂

You may want to remove the coupon codes though as they are not allowed here.

court room? What could be wrong with coupons that would get someone sued?

Long story, ages ago people abused coupon codes for Staples.com, it protects AT which I don't blame them.

Looks to me like this is OEM - does not come with the software.

I got burned buying OEM once. The bundled software was supposed to have a TV tuner application with my Radeon card and the software was not working and ATI would not provide support since it was not bought retail so I had no recourse. Also, it is hard to purchase upgrades to the software with no serial number, etc.

Anyway, does anyone care to comment on the Nero 6 OEM. I am worried about the description of Vison Express 2-SE - will that particular application also burn captured video to DVD or are you limited to making CD's or VCD's? I cannot find a description of the difference between Vision Express 2 and Express 2-se.

I suppose I am trying to get something extra out of a DVD burner purchase besides the burner. I need the video editing , capturing software too. Maybe I am better off buying a full retail version of whatever editing software I choose and not worry about the bundled software but then I'd like to save money by getting a package deal. Any comments on the quality of the bundled software packages that come with DVD burners?

You are rihgt, check bottom of this link, "Special Version does not support SVCD and DVD-Video authoring and editing".

I'm guessing its the same ones as their 19.99 deal on the front page. Looks generic, but I've heard the NEC brands do well with almost any disc... Anyone can confirm?

ive used their dvdr's before, and they are pretty good, no complaints yet. i read somewhere else that NEC's are good with lots of dvd's as well, but i cant remember where i saw that now =/ just reading the reviews of the dvdr's on their site, someone said they burnt 50 of them so far w/o any coasters on their NEC-2500, if that helps any =)

I hate rebates too...So I just orderd a NEC ND-3500A BK with 5 blank dvds from NewEgg
for $66 bucks shipped😀

or you can pay 3.99 more and get 20 more discs... seems like a little competition going on between merchants here... I'm sticking with thetechgeek and the extra discs. (it s too late anyways, i ordered a couple days ago.)
