NEC MultiSync LCD1760V-BK 17" LCD Monitor Owners- Post your opinions here!

I'm seriously considering buying one of these tonight. I read a lot of good things about it, but I do more gaming than anything else. It seemed to be good for gaming also.

I really want to hear from those of you who use it for gaming. I have a 19" CRT monitor, so I really don't need a monitor. Is it worth it?

best LCD monitor hands down if you're gonna get one...
I've seen a lot of monitors... all of them were dim and the whites were almost gray because of the poor contrast... gave me tons of eyestrain.... NEC was the only one that was marginally brighter than any LCD I've ever seen, and sharp enough that I could barely make out the large pixels on LCD screens. I wouldn't use anything but NEC if I was gonna get an LCD...

but I would rather get a nice 21" CRT for the money

Cheapherk, nice system . I have that monitor and I LOVE IT. The only thing w/ gaming, and this is a personal issue....not even an issue. I only wish I could use some other resolution other than 1280x1024. I still have my KDS 19" CRT which I use in a dual monitor setup but I just love gaming on the LCD. SoF2, Halo, Call of Duty, Enemy Territories, MaxPayne2, Postal2, BF1942, and PlanetSide have all been played on this monitor and I love it. You can't go wrong with it. There's still minor ghosting but you get used to it and it doesn't bother you one bit.

I notice that this monitor has no DVI connection; just analog. Should this concern me?
Less than a couple of hours before I make my final decision- any more help would be appreciated.

I made that decision. DVI wasn't worth the extra $100. This monitor is great. I don't see any ghosting.
