NEC MultiSync FP2141SB, what do you think this monitor is worth?

what do you think is a resonable amount of money to get for my 22" CRT monitor. its the FP2141SB and like i said nothing wrong with it. its 2 years old and has no cosmetic damage or blemishes. any idea?

Nevermind I dont wanna start another LCD vs CRT war. Check Ebay to get an idea of what that monitor might sell for.

its only the best NEC/Mitsu CRT ever made (next to the 2070SB), thats all. it only uses the U-NX gun. not worth anything. throw it away. :thumbsdown:

If you want to get a rough estimate, check ebay and such.

If it really is completely flawless as you say (no blurriness and other weird problems), you're in for a disappointment unless you're mainly looking to read text.

Anyway, the average ebay price on these (for used ones) was around $250, last I checked.

I wouldn't part with mine for a grand, wouldn't consider it in the least actually. I just checked ebay and they have a buy it now used one going for $169.50. I don't know why you would want to sell your monitor for a display with serious glare issues and mediocre speed by LCD standards(horrific by CRT)- but if that is really the way you want to go then don't count on your 2141 covering too much of the cost.

uhh first off glare is no problem with the setup i have. 2nd, mediocre speed is def. understatement. it keeps up with ViewSonic VX922 with 2ms and any other normal LCD. its incredibly fast for an LCD

Almost keeps up if you completely ignore a fairly sizeable range of color changes where the VX922 is more then four times as fast. I'm not trying to bash the monitor you have your eye on, but it isn't all that great by LCD standards- particularly for the price- and it is utterly smoked by the monitor you already have in pretty much everything.
