stingygrrl and everyone.
I just bought one and am using it now.
I am not worried about emmission standards because I figure it
has got to be producing far less than my old monitor and I
don't sit all day in front of this thing.
About this monitor. It is really big and really ugly. The
rear end looks like a saddle. However, the screen is bright
and clear. On initial inspection the screen appears to be
absolutely flat. However, a detailed close-up inspections
shows that the CRT surface is curved but has a second screen
in front. This second screen appears to have a non-linear
lense built right into it which magnifies the edges more than
the middle. The result is the screen appears, from a short
distance, to be curving toward you instead of away from you.
My old Sony is truely vertically flat. However this monitor
is bigger and sharper and for only $284 delivered. That's not
bad. I can't really complain unless I start glowing green from
radiation effects.
