Here is how:
1. find the monitor at Dell's Dell
2. add to cart.
3. either you leave the shipping and tax blank OR enter portland, OR for $8 shipping and no tax OR enter your own city, state for $8 shipping and whatever your state charge (you can ask Staples not to add tax, since if they do you'd be paying tax twice).
4. print the MY CART page (don't go to checkout).
5. bring that page to Staples B&M for PMing.
6. don't forget to use $40 off $200 coupon (or $30 off $150 B&M coupon if they do not allowed online coupon)
7. what you pay should be about $340 + tax or $350 + tax (depend on coupon)
8. get the $50 MIR here

jeez, that's long.
I'm really surprise nobody mention this and keep mentioning the VG150 instead.
with NEC 1530V, you pay lower upfront ,lower rebate investment and lower final price.

I've been checking out the LCD1530V and LCD1530VB (Black monitor) for the past few days. I stopped by CompUSA and Circuit City today for a test drive. This monitor is pretty nice and I actually thought it had a better picture than the Sony M51 which runs $599 - OUCH!

The only thing that concers me on the 1530 monitor is the contrast ratio - which is only 200:1. Compared to quite a few other monitors, this figure is a little low. However, whenever I've seen the 1530 next to other monitors, the picture is quite impressive even though this is their bottom of the line 15" LCD monitor.

A few more comments on the contrast ratios: I think that a lot of manufacturers are sometimes overstating this value. NEC's Web page for the 1525M monitor which is the next step up from the 1530V indicates the ratio is 350:1. But, a test of 15" LCD monitors at ZDNet revealed a much lower contrast ratio for this monitor - more in the 200:1 range. Here is the link to the review of the 1525M monitor: ZDNet Review

Kinda stupid question for you guys. Ihave never gotten a LCD monitor, so I don't know if this is possable. Is there any way to switch the vertical axis without taking out the guts and flipping it? I want to mount this LCD screen on the roof of my truck, and use a small CPU case to turn it into a cool MP3 player and a Movie player.

So basicly, I just want to know if you can switch the vertical axis.

Thanks much.
