I am still trying to find a good 19" monitor for my desktop publishing system--tried two of the 19" Viewsonic PF790 monitors, and both of them had distortion problems, so I'm trying a different monitor.

The NEC FE950 is $422 at www.onvia.com
You can pricematch at Staples and use the $40 off $200 coupon or the $40 off $150 coupon to bring it down to $382. (make sure you pricematch the free-shipping at onvia)
If you actually go into a store or go to NEC's website, there is a $50 Mail-In-Rebate on the FE950. You also get a Free USB base for the monitor ($79 retail value, but I'd say it's only worth $30-$40). . . still brings the monitor down to $332 with a free USB base, and it's a really sweet looking monitor.

Hope this helps someone.

Hey that sounds like a good deal...I own this monitor and am quite happy with it. I paid 380+sh for mine so you have a better deal here.
However, I was lied to by NEC. Before I bought the monitor I called them about the USB intelli base and they said that they would send it too me. However, after I got the monitor I called them back to see exactly how to do it, and then they told me that this deal was available only through "selected retail stores". If you d/l the pdf form from their web page. and read the fine print on the back side bottom it says so.
So don't expect to get the Usb base and 50 dollors back either.

You get the rebate or the hub, not both.

I bought the monitor from CompUSA for $449.99, but it had a convergence problem at resolutions of 1280x1024 and above. Went to exchange it, but they tested it at 800x600, and said it's okay, and they couldn't exchange it. Tried to show them the problem, but their test machine only supported upto 1024x768. Luckily one of the guys there could see the problem at 1024x768, and said it was okay to exchange. Spent an hour and a half there. Returned it, I didn't want to spend another hour and a half, if the next one was equally bad.

I wouldn't recommend ordering this monitor online, unless the seller pays shipping for returns.
