NEC FE2111 screen brightness

I just picked up an FE2111 and am not sure this is a problem, or just the way this monitor is designed.

I have the contrast set to 100% (which is normal), but the brightness I have all the way down to 0%, and it's still a bit bright (if it were possible, I'd dial it -10% or so!).

I took care of this by adjusting the brightness in the nividia color correction utility. I've never had to do that before with other monitors.

Any folks who have the FE2111, did you also find this monitor a little too bright at 0%?
 
You have the superbright mode turned off, right? I have a pretty similar monitor and it looks comfortable to me at 10% brightness. Try doing a factory reset on the monitor if nothing else works, which once fixed a somewhat similar problem for me.
 
Superbright mode is off, and I did do a factory reset.

If you are at 10%, then what I am experiencing might be normal for this monitor.
