NEC DVD-Rom drive and new hardware wizard

I recieved my new OEM NEC DVD Rom drive today ( found here) Installed it and the BIOS detects it fine. However once the computer boots into Windows the Add new Hardware wizard pops up each and every time and tries to install a NEC Printer!?! The DVD-Rom drive works perfectly and can be seen fine from my computer. Is there anyway to make this go away? The only reason purchased is to speed up backing up DVDs without the harddrive. Thanks for any help
