nec dvd problem

I've always been able to rip dvd's with my drive NEC Black IDE DVD Burner Model ND-3520A BK at a reasonable speed of 5x-7x, however just resently, about a day or two ago, my drive will max out at 1.5x rip. I still use DVD Decrypter as before and I have not changed my settings. I was wondering if anyone had problems like mine. My IDE drivers and DVD Driver have not changed. I was wondering what should I do. My friend says that my Nero 7.0 may be the cause but I doubt it because its not running at the same time. Thanks 🙂
