NEC does a deal with RAMBUS?

I was listening to CNBC, and they mentioned that Rambus' stock shot up today (7.69 points I believe) after they signed a deal with NEC that includes the development of their next generation RDRAM chips.

I think originally NEC was in a lawsuit or something with them, and this is what came of it. Anyone else have more info?
