NEC AS90. Any opinions?

I don't know that much about monitors. I was looking for a low-priced (sub $180) 19" CRT, and I came across the NEC/Mitsubishi AS90. Is this any good? The refresh rates look great, I just want to do 85hz @ 1280x1024.

My major concern is the color. Are the colors nice and rich? I have a 17" Dell Trinitron that is 5 years old and the colors are very bad and pale.

I have this monitor that you're looking at. In fact, I'm typing on it now. This has been a good, solid monitor for me the whole time I've used it. I'm currently using it at 1280x1024 as well. I was used to 1024x768 and it's taking me a bit to get used to it but I've had no complaints. It's not the best you'll ever get and it's not the worst...but if you're looking for a solid monitor that will give good service, I have no hesitations about recommending this monitor. It's served me well so far and hope that it does in the future as well.

P.S. About the colors......see if you can find one in a store somewhere and look at the colors......that way you'll know what to expect.
