I don't think so. The only dual layers I know of are a 8x+- lighton and this NEC. There are 12x's+- out there don't get me wrong but they don't do dual layer.

bought 2510, burned 3 bad dvd's out of 9 (ritek ridata g04). rma'ed it. hopefully it was just a bad burner and new one will work well.

I just got bought the NEC 2510a off newegg about 3 weeks ago and I love it! I have backed up 16 DVD so far and also burnt some audio CDs and had no coasters. I am using the Ritek DVDs I also got off newegg. I am using DVD shrink and nero to burn the dvds. I am happy with the burner and would recomend it. Looked at alot of em before I bought it.

Yes they can be picky about media,I returned mine also after 2 bad burns in a row & got a pioneer instead.

I am much more happy with my Pioneer drive. :)

Burns my Ritek 4x +R media @ 6X with no coasters or errors...about 25 to date...excellent drive.
