I was trying to copy a Ritek DVD-R (with mp3s on it) and got the cyclic redundancy check error for a file on the dvd. Then I ejected it and put it back in and was able to copy the same file no problem but now I got the error for some other files and so on.
What might be the problem?
Is this normal for the nec 3520A? to not being able to read some dvds? ..cause i tried it on another computer and it seemed to work fine.
on the burning side (same ritek dvd-r) everything was flawless.

sounds like the DVD is dirty or scratched. Try cleaning the side with the data and see if that helps.
