NEC 3500A owners check in

Just got mine last week. Loving every minute of it. I used to have a Pioneer A04. This is so much faster and many times quieter. This thing burns a DVD at 8x like 10x quieter than the Pioneer did at 1x. Not that the ioneer was a bad drive, but this one is awesome!

That being said, here's a text comparision of the dB output from my burners.

NEC ND1100A: *whisper whisper muted spin*
Liteon 52x CDRW: *vvrrrrRRRRREEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*

just a month before this dual layer drive was introduced at $90, I bought the single layer 1300a for $90. When was the last time new technology was introduced at the same price ? Damn all the "experts" for saying it'll be expensive when it comes out... :|

it's not a huge loss though, since the discs are still $$$$.
