I just moved to a new PC so I backed up a ton of data onto DVD-R's (and +R's). I wrote them on a 4x NEC 1300A DVD burner on some Memorex 4x discs and some Ritek G04 inkjet printable DVD-R's.
Now I bought a 8X NEC 2510A DVD drive for my new machine and I can't get any of the Ritek DVD's to copy the data -- I get CRC errors at the same point every time. The 1300A in my other system reads all the discs perfectly.
I've tried updating to the latest 2.16 firmware (official), then tried Herrie's hacked firmware 2.16 and I still get the CRC errors every time.
Is this a known issue? Or could there be something screwy with my new drive?
