Nec 20WMGX2 6 bit panel?

On Neweggs website they list the Nec 20WMGX2 as having "More than 16 million colors" doesn't that imply that its a 6 bit panel rather than an 8 bit one? Zipzoomfly's website also states the same. I'm confused I thought it was a true 8 bit panel.

Nope. It's a true 8-bit panel. More than 16m. can mean 16.7m (16.7m>16m). Why they don't just say it outright I don't know. I have confirmed that there is no dithering on this LCD.
