I've posted some notes on swapping fans for the WiebeTech RTX220-QJ dual SATA trayfree enclosure. The crux issues were making a fan header conversion cable, and safely cutting a 120mm fan hole.

This minimizes fan noise with the drives asleep, but does not address the drive noise.
