Front, side, or only the "tramp stamp" ?

The right woman, the right kind of character, I can appreciate the look of quality art. Shit art, it looks bad on anyone, same with generic art though I still appreciate the art form. But tasteful and well-done art, especially anything unique, I do like. I don't care about how it looks when they are older because if they stay in shape, their skin stays healthy and taught... if they aren't in shape and their skin sags, the skin looks hideous without tattoos... so who cares? lol

Front side below the belly button and above the genitals in the triangle area.

Problem with tattoos is they are pretty permanent. First time I saw a tribal tattoo on an arm I thought wow that's cool, now wow yet another uninspired tattoo.
First time I saw a girl with a lower back pattern I said wow that's sexy, now I say what dummy gets a tramp stamp.
I once saw a girl at a club in the very early 90's she had Diva in gothic letters on the back of her neck it was sexy & cool looking. Now that she is 45-50 it probably looks pretty silly.
Too hard to keep a tattoo unique and too hard to tell if it will age well.

Reminds me of the Dr. Suess story:

My daughter is really into Kat Von D and is getting tattoos all over her :( She's 19 so I can't really do anything about it other than keep harping on her, but she's going to wake up 10 years from now regretting her legs and arms being covered like that.

My sister is 35 years old and her arms and legs are covered with tattoos. She has worked as a lab technician at Boston U, and is currently working as a programmer making nearly $100k a year. Her girlfriend has many tattoos as well. She speaks 3 languages and just opened an online consulting business.

Having tattoos doesn't mean you're doomed to a life of poverty and regret. I wouldn't continue to harp on her, because she's at that age where she probably thinks anyone over 30 is old. She's probably not going to listen to you anyway, and your constant nagging will just push her to get more tattoos.

What's the solution? IMO, she's going to have to find that out for herself.

I'm non-committal on tattoos on women. I figure that most women get them in their belief that they will make them more alluring, increase their desirability. I can't fault them for that. I've seen some stupid looking ones, most don't strike me that way. OK, so I have hereby proven that it is not universally agreed that tattoos look bad on women, so there.

In the past, it was death for a professional career. Today it's more accepted, but you still have plenty of people who don't want it in a professional environment (highly visible tattoos). It's risky.

The real tragedy is FF speaking for others.

I guess a lot of it depends on what type of career you want to pursue. Obviously, a chef can get away with much more than an elementary school teacher.

In my sister's case she works remotely from home. She can get away with it, plus she can cover up her tattoos when she needs too. People who get tattoos on their face are just asking to be unemployed for life. Unless they are rock stars or tattoo artist.

Not a fan of tats on me or on women. I don't care what other dudes do. Mostly I think tats are disgusting.

lol, wtf?

you "don't care what other dudes do" but do care what every random woman does?

do you realize how much of a piece of shit this makes you?

I don't mind tattoos. I'd just remind her to be thoughtful of what she gets and where she gets them. Being able to cover them up may be necessary for certain jobs (I.e. no neck tattoos).

The other major one is always go to a reputable company. She is going to get them regardless, so just ensure safety. She doesn't need Hep C because she got it from a person who doesn't know what an autoclave is.

I think you are too ready to jump down someone's throat, possibly encouraged by the sensitive PC world we live in now.

I don't believe it should be interpreted as if to say: dudes can do whatever they want, but women? Nah, they definitely, definitely shouldn't have any tats.

Rather, I think it has to do with his sexuality. He doesn't care for tattoos at all, but as he may not fancy men, he doesn't care what they do or look like. But as he does fancy women, he wants to be attracted to them, and tattoos are not attractive to him.

I never understood the tramp stamp that was the rage in the late 1990s. Wedding Crashers hit the nail on the head when Vince Vaughn said "may as well be a bullseye". I think that tattoo fell out of favor right after that movie. I am thinking of all the great looking women I knew back then that got that tattoo and what it probably looks like now after 3 kids and 15 years.

that isn't how i interpreted it.

lol, he's still a piece of shit and you support him, or maybe he just isn't secure in his sexuality. your defense of him is pretty weak though. so let's say my 85 year old grandma has tattoos, are you two really going to judge her because you may be sexually interested in her?

Whether a particular tattoo detracts from a woman's looks or not is subjective.

What is NOT subjective is this: No woman has EVER looked better or become more attractive after getting any tattoo of any kind, anywhere.

Actually, for covering scars or burns, they could be a plus. Can you tattoo over burn scars?
I tipped 5% last night.
Oh, you cheap bastard. The tipping apologists are going to push over your cows in the middle of the night.
