An 1800 board for a 3200 cpu

Move the decimal over and the math works out
180 mb for a 320 cpu

Wow, stratospheric prices. I'll stick with consumer-level platforms, thank you.

Edit: What do benchmarks look like, between an AM4 Ryzen R9 3950X, and an decent-grade X570 mobo, and those SR-3 and CPU? Is the expense justified, for the performance? Or just one to milk the Intel-lovers in the HEDT crowd?

They only made a few of those. No way to turn a profit unless they cost at least 4 figures each.

That's a bit like saying "Wow that 18 wheeler truck costs $250k? I'll just stick to my $20,000 Corolla".

There are probably enough people who will buy this for Evga to justify the cost of making it. I don't think companies are that dumb to make a product no one will buy.

This, to me, seems WAY over-priced.

@aigomorla , you know EVGA mobos, why is this so expensive?

its watercooled + its evga SR series and its meant to handle the ever so elusive W-3175X xeon chip.
The one that required chilled water at CES.

I have had 2 of EVGA's SR1 and SR2 boards, they all costed a fortune and almost broke my wallet in the build.
At least this one comes with waterblocks.
I had to get koolance to custom fab my water blocks for the SR-1 (they used my board as a prototype, and yes its numbered and signed by both the CEO of EVGA, and Shimano who made it and provided me custom bios for it), and the SR-2 was a pain in the butt to get the EK's sit right.
