Near death experiences in Hell?

Just finished Dante's Divine Comedy again and it got me wondering if anyone has ever claimed to having a near death experience related to Hell or something darker than the typical "bright white light at the end of the tunnel" fair.

actually I remember watching a show where one guy said he had one.

He was leading a 'bad' life...doing drugs, commiting crimes, beating up people, et. and he had some kind of accident where he was clinically dead for a bit.

he claims to have gone to a dark place, remembers being the most terrified he had ever been, and some creature began attacking him tearing at his flesh biting him...then he came back

said he changed his life fom that point on.

There's a book called "Return from Tomorrow" that is a "real-life" experience of a man who was legally dead for 9 minutes and his experiences. It's been a long time since I read it, but it covers the afterlife for suicides, IIRC, and some other not so pleasant afterlife experiences.

I met a homeless man under a bridge in Milwaukee about two years ago. I would regularly visit the local train yard just to look around and find interesting things, and this man probably took the cake in that regard. Anyways, I gave him a bit of food that I had with me and asked what his story was... long story short, he had died at one time due to two veins in his head crossing. He vividly remembers being in a purgatory-like place; stuck between a Heaven and a Hell. After 5 or so minutes of actual death, the doctors had somehow revived him.

Now I'm sure you're thinking about the credibility of a random homeless man, but he was very well composed and had not yet lost his mind. He served in Vietnam, had old worn tattoos to prove it, and also had a collection of old photographs so that he could hang on to the family he once had.

I've had two bad dreams where I felt despair and felt as if I was falling downwards towards a bottomless pit and asking God for forgiveness. Then I woke up. The feeling of hopelessness and despair was still strong after waking up. And I'm not religious.

There is actually a couple of really good books I recommend. The first one, on the topic of a near death experience visiting hell, I recommend 23 Minutes in Hell by Bill Wiese. I have not read this book but have heard several people talk about it and recommend it.

I also have recently finished another book, 90 Minutes in Heaven , which was really interesting. The author was in a car accident and was pronounced dead, and 90 minutes later, laying in his crashed car for that long and a sheet over him, he regained a pulse. The book is the story of what he experienced during the 90 minutes.

ive seen on shows where people think they are in hell or some bs....the BIGGEST bs thing i've ever heard about hell was that some kind of mine workers said they were digging really deep and the deeper they went they heard screams, louder and louder...over-active immagination FTFL , lol

Yes actually.. My grandfather had a friend named Dave, he was a real hellian. One day he had a motorcycle accident and was dead for a very short period of time. When they revived him here's what he said he had seen:

He was at my grandfather's cottage, overlooking long island sound. He sees a large vessel crossing it about a half mile out. He sees someone on the deck of the ship, and that person starts talking to him. Somehow, he could hear him. The man said "I am the Devil and this is my crew, join us", and starts beckoning him to move out over the water towards him.

They revived him at that point, and as far as I know he's been a good man ever since

My God I just clicked the link to P/N and it....it...oh god it was horrible...

You people are a bunch of fvcking wussies! P&N is FUN! Great place to wander around it, and stomp on certain sets of toes...Usually, all it takes is some well placed DOCUMENTED facts, and folks get ALL bent out of shape...and many run for the hills faster than PAB when he gets investigated for insurance fraud...
