NE1 following the Lockheed/NASA X-33 program?

I just happened to be cruising through /. and I noticed that they had a news blurb on the X-33 program (one that I had lost track of over the years). It appears that the program may be in trouble I hope they allow this program to soldier on, because the current 30-year old (design wise) space shuttle is too expensive to fly.

Anyway, here's some more info on the X-33/VentureStar program.

Unforunately, you know how the government works, they'll wait until the last minute to make a decision, then scramble around trying to get it completed. At a higher cost than if they could just stay the course and complete a project.

Well according to an X-33 employee on /.'s forum, the AP article has tons of errors, and the reported problem with the tanks was repaired quickly...
