FSP PSUs at Newegg

BTENJHG27 25% off coupon code expires 1/29 "or sooner"

This is an emailed "A Token of Thanks" coupon, so not everyone can use it because it supposedly attaches to your account.

Here are a couple interesting deals:

FSP Aurum 400W $56 after rebate, coupon and shipping
This is the cheapest I've ever seen any 80Plus Gold PSU.

FSP450-60GHS(85)-R $53 after coupon and shipping
This is pretty much the same PSU as the Silverstone ST45SF. It is the highest +12v SFX sized PSU available.

They've been around for a while. At first they were an OEM supplier - I remember building some custom rigs ~15 years ago that came with their PSU.

I got the email too - you get these a couple of days after you buy something from the Egg.
The only thing that would interest me was the 750w Gold but it is sold out.
But didn't really need it.
the 700w one is still there though at $124 b4 the discount.

Does anyone know much about these power supplies? I haven't heard of this manufacturer until now.

They've been around for a long time, making boring yet reasonably decent PSUs. Think of them as the Toyota Corolla of PSUs. :whiste:

Didn't work for me and I've being on a buying spree with NE since December. 🙄

I won't bother at full price for the 700w. There are a lot of good PS at that price point.

FSP = Fortron Source Power = FSP Group

They also sold power supplies as SPI, or Sparkle Power Inc., which has nothing to do with the graphics card company Sparkle who also markets (but AFAIK doesn't manufacture) power supplies.

trademarks exist for a reason. companies need to use them.

Sparkle (graphics card) do have their own brand of Sparkle power supply... I remembered because I posted a combo deal on AT for a Sparkle GTX 470 and Sparkle Power Supply over a year ago... it turned out there were multiple rebates involved and Tigerdirect was being funny about it too....
