ND-2510A SVR problems

I got the new NEC ND-2510A SVR burner lthis week. But it has hung up three times burning a dvd. I'm using the latest version of nero. Does anyone know if there are problems with this drive, or if there are firmware updates for it? Also I got the OEM version, Are there drivers for this other than the ones XP is using for it?

Couple of questions: What media are you using? What speed were you writing at? What firmware does your drive have right now?

Ritek is the media, worked fine in my tdk 4x burner. Burning at 4x, and the firmware is what came on the drive.

NEC won't sell anything other than the OEM version in North America, according to their website, so they tell you to get updates from your vendor. But in other parts of the world they will have it for sale retail. I'm guessing it's too new so there are no firmware updates yet, but it looks like we'll be able to get them here when they're ready:

The list has "(F/W 1.07)" at the top... Firmware 1.07?

I had a similar problem on my epox 8rda+ and solved it by upgrading the motherboard drivers.
