This whole fucking thread is about Government telling people if they can have children, or not.

I think you need to reread the thread. Its about forcing doctors to show a pregnant lady that wants an abortion her ultrasound and to describe it to her. There is nothing here about not letting people have children.

You need to reread life, and realize what is natural, versus Government.

Government has no place in birth, or death.

That's why laws requiring that Miranda Rights be given are unconstitutional. Wait, what?

Agents of the government are not protected by the Constitution while acting in an official capacity.

Actually, this thread is about whether or not the government can compel speech. And you appear to be on the side of yes, government does have that power.

It's all a big circle jerk.

Government owns Doctors. Government owns insurance companies. The Federal Government owns State Government, etc.

The only thing that is clear, is that we are subject to Government.

Our most private, intimate matters, are subject to Government control.

There is no freedom, in person, place, or things.

Just to remind you, there was a day, not so long ago, when a Doctor could refuse a patient. When a business could refuse a customer.

Really? So doctors don't need to follow any of those pesky regulations? I'm sure the medical profession values your input. It will make practicing medicine so much easier.
Doctors don't go to prison for not following a pesky regulation, they just risk their government license to practice medicine.

Businesses and doctors can still do those things (eg: no shirt, no service; pediatricians refusing patients of parents that don't want to administer childhood vaccinations). You just can't discriminate against a protected class.

You want to go back to the bad old days, where we could tell black people they couldn't sit at the lunch counter, we could tell Irish to seek work elsewhere, and a whole host of other morally wrong matters all allowed by an extreme notion of individual freedom and a tacit (or full) approval of the local, hands-off government.

No, they can't. Businesses are regulated by Government. Medicine is socialized. Both are at risk for their very livelihood if they don't toe the line and do as Government says.

How is it capitalism to refuse a customer for any reason other than the inability to pay?

It's freedom, to refuse service for any reason whatsoever.

It's Government (I could be harsher), to be forced to serve someone.

That's what they signed up for when they got that business license from the government.

They have to get a business license from the Government, to conduct business.

Therefore, they are owned by the Government.

Therefore, they are not free.

Therefore, we are not free.

any more.

Might as well all sit around and make laws about who is going to cook dinner.

Not I, says the one lawyer.

Not me, says the senator,

Never, says the doctor,

I wouldn't think of it, says the rich man.

They all sit there, looking at themselves, starving to death.

Have a couple more on me.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but most reputable businesses want government licensing, and will actually self-regulate the compliance to a great extent. Do you think someone who paid $200k+ for a medical degree wants to compete against some quack who didn't?
Once again, capitalism.

I hate to break it to you, but the only businesses that want licensing, are the ones that are trying to place barriers to competition. This is like corrupt government 101. Take bribes, in the form of licensing and taxes, to promote one business over the other.

You mean like the deed to one's land? Or the notes in one's wallet?

Hi, capitalism yet again. Nice to finally meet you.
No, like policemen being able to strangle you on a corner, for selling illegal cigarettes, and not complying with their orders.

Duh. The naivete is strong with this one.
