Wrong. OJ broke an NCAA rule.

""free or reduced-cost admission to professional athletics contests from professional sports organizations, unless such services also are available to the student body in general."

Last time I checked - Iowa didn't have a professional sports team?!?!

Ok, doesn't mention if there's a separate bylaw for NCAA contests. Iowa players must have done something wrong if they had to wait for clearance to play in their next game. Granted, if there's a separate rule for NCAA games that perhaps gets punished differently, then that's one thing. However, I would then have to ask the NCAA ... WHY?

It's just an attempt to keep College players from getting things from pro sports in an effort to lure them out of college. They don't care if someone transfers schools :D

I know absolutely nothing about NCAA rules, but the professional vs college difference stuck out to me as well.

I'm with you on the title, but your gripe doesn't jive 100%. If there was a problem with this then no coach could invite prospective recruits to a game.

You're just not supposed to take special benefits from boosters, agents, etc. (free houses, cars, hookas, no-show jobs) or in any way make money... that would make you a pro.
