Update: Looks like it has not been released. I guess that's why the website is called Game Stooge. 😱

The update for the disastrously buggy NCAA Football 09 has just gone live. Last week, Pasta Padre had reported that the patch would fix following bugs, including the annoying slider problem (only user sliders worked):

Online

* Ability to view your Online Dynasty HQ through EA Sports World
* Improved online performance

Dynasty

* Fixed a couple recruiting exploits
* Faster simming between weeks

Custom Stadium Sounds

* The ?All? option will now only work when the user is the home team

Gameplay

* Improved coverage on kicks
* Hook Zones depth keeps defenders in their zones
* Fixed an issue with the Strafe Catch
* Allow fumbles to occur when diving
* WR screen routes improved

Bug Fixes

* Sliders will now work correctly
* An issue with missing stats after simming has been fixed
* Ball carrier will no longer run out of bounds when changing hands and heading towards the sidelines
* Fixed an exploit that allowed the slot receiver to burn the safeties in a prevent defense
* Fixed a bug where the the ball would hit the cross bar, drop through, and not be counted
* Fixed a bug that would prevent Hot Routes from working

LAWL..a patch already? Why no release a game that has this issues fixed from the get go?

The downside of being able to patch games on systems with widespread online access. Ship now, patch later mentality from publishers.

If they didn't fix the "run around in a circle" AI, then it's not much of a fix at all.

Don't run around in circles like an idiot who doesn't know how to play a game of football, and it's magically fixed.

Ya, I've been looking around for the past few minutes at NCAA 09 forums, and no word from anyone that this second patch has been released. Judging from the newness of the forums at that site in the link, sounds like that site is just trying to gather some traffic.

I've already run this by a few people here in the gaming forum via PM but thought I'd ask the collective Console Gaming knowledge base.

Is EA having problems with people dropping connection durin games of NCAA 09? I couldn't stay connected to my opponent in blurredvision's online dynasty. I've got UPnP enabled on my router plus I've dropped my 360 into the DMZ. I'd get into the game, proceeded through the kickoff (sometimes) and then get dropped from the game just prior to the first play from scrimmage. I'm not losing connection to XBL nor am I dropped from the online dyansty. It just drops me from the game and dumps me back to our online dynasty home page.

Router is a Linksys WRT54G v4 running DD-WRT v24. Standard M$ 360 USB wireless dongle.

I've never had a connection issue. There's a little bit of lag in the game - maybe a few milliseconds - mainly noticeable for kicking and whatnot - but otherwise no problems.

I'm using the same wireless router, but a Buffalo router using DD-WRT as a bridge instead of the official MS USB one.

My brother-in-law had a similar problem with COD4, actually - got into the game and immediately disconnected. It turned out to be his ISP.
