I have been playing the Road to Glory, and after every game it says that my stats cannot be sent to the server at this time. Ive played almost the whole season this way. Anyone else having this issue? If not, am I losing out on anything for my character since they are not being uploaded?

Xbox 360, PS3?

I haven't had that problem, but I have found this game to be very buggy on the Xbox 360!

Not to derail the topic here, but could anyone confirm that they still use random names for recruits in dynasty mode or do they only use the numbers now?

They generate names. I am still having issues with connecting to the servers. Every time I load up the game, it tells me the servers are unavaliable. This is starting to get old.

The graphics are no better than the last version I bought: NCAA 09. They're truly sad by today's standards. Unless EA blows me away for 13, this will be the last version I buy for a long, long time!

There's A LOT to criticize about EA's football titles, not the least of course being the actual football gameplay, asinine AI, massive exploits, as well as a mostly total lack of innovation from year to year in features and depth.

But to make that claim about the graphics is really just ignorant, biased, or both. If you can't see the visual improvements from '09, that's on you. There's only so many steps of improvement on this generation of consoles I believe is possible, and still maintain and solid frame rate, but the improvements visually from '09 to '12 should be more than visible to anyone with HD who doesn't have an ax to grind.

I'll both agree and disagree with you. I admit that "no better than" was an exaggeration. However, the graphics are quite honestly terrible for a modern game - even on a console.

Yes, I have HD - HDMI to a 1080p TV (I don't know what resolution the game actually spits out, but whatever it is it's the best it could be for anyone else, too).

Is it REALLY too much to ask that the crowd not look like cardboard cutouts anymore? The stadium isn't too pretty, either. Also, they can't have more than 4 player faces per ethnicity. That's pretty lame!

So let's check your accusation: Ignorant? Nope, I could list plenty of prettier games of this generation on the same hardware. Biased? I bought the game - if I wanted to hate it why would I have paid full price for it? Wrong on both counts.

You're arguing with yourself.

You specifically said:

The graphics are no better than the last version I bought: NCAA 09

That's it, in black and white. That's what I responded to. That was an ignorant, incorrect statement. You can go back and say "No no! What I meant was..." and change your statement, but your original statement was wrong. Period.

I will also take issue with the statement that the graphics are "terrible". There are a number of areas in which they can improve. The crowds, while much better than previous versions, are still blurry and uninspired. The Sidelines are weak and lifeless, and many of the stadiums look unchanged.

The players themselves (you know, the guys you spend 98% of the game looking at) however, look top notch. I mean, really, that can't be argued.

(all are USER screenshots, taken and uploaded by actual gamers)

Also, you have to understand the game has to run at a constant 30 FPS (or better) at all times (and for the most part, aside from during some replays, it does), so the question becomes how much is the hardware becoming a factor?

EA deserves all the criticism in the world for its lackadaisical efforts on innovating gameplay, new features, and a true atmospheric presentation.
But to say the game itself looks "terrible" is just foolish.

Um, I'm not arguing with myself. I admitted that I exaggerated. But, that doesn't mean the graphics are good by ANY stretch (overall, of course). For every plus (players' whole-body appearances, and the menu system) there are terrible counter-examples (players' faces, and the crowd). The screenshots you posted highlight only the graphics which EA put some time into. That's what's called a selection bias.

Stadiums are lack-luster (if I'm feeling nice), players' faces aren't very good and I really don't understand why there are only a couple different models. It is also awful when my player runs out of bounds and goes THROUGH the people on the sideline because they're not physical objects. Oh, and why can they make the players' jerseys look detailed and textured, but the team name in the endzone is pixelated. I'm quite comfortable using the word "terrible" when a HUGE word is pixelated in the endzone.

Look, if all you're trying to say that the graphics are a high point in the game then I don't really have an issue with that. What that means, though, is that while the graphics are bad the rest of the game is even worse.

Maybe we can agree on this: the GameDay crew needs to record more than 20 lines each. If you play through several seasons those lines get REALLY old REALLY fast! Also, I'm sick and tired of the lines not matching reality: when my team is 10-0, averages 45 ppg, and wins most games by 3 scores I shouldn't hear "this team won't move the ball all that much, but their defense will keep them in the game". Come on!
