I don't think this game is going to be all that close, to tell the truth. The ND defense will hold down the Wolfpack. I don't know how many points ND will score offensively, but their D should be good for 10-14 points.

The ACC has been doing pretty well in the Bowls this year... well except Clemson which got spanked.

Virginia did well. Maryland steam rolled. Wake Forest spanked. Georgia Tech put up a good fight. 3-2 is not a bad record. Here's to hoping that Florida State and NC State do well.

Their offense was NEVER their strong point, they did it with defense and special teams all year. All year long Irish fans have been hoping their offense wouldn't become a focal point. Now that their defense and special teams are playing badly, their offense gets blamed when in reality the offense is no worse than it has been all year. And right now they are playing with their second string QB, so it's not going to get any better in the second half. At least Carlysle Holiday was a threat to run and had the arm to throw an out, Dillingham is weak armed and inexperienced. And ND is playing without it's two starting OT's. Dammit!

As for talk of national championship, many many teams get hyped up throughout the season but only one team wins it all. You need talent, stay away from injuries, and luck to win it all. That's why they play the games

I'm with yah, even though its just because I hate Notre Dame (damn school rides on the Big East without actually being in the Big East).

And go Hokies! w00t won the game last night and too bad I didn't get a chance to see since I was out at a club.

We are talking about the same Notre Dame right. They Notre Dame that didnt score an offensive touchdown in the first two games. The same Notre Dame that realied on special teams and defense all year. The Notre Dame that never had an offense. The Notre Dame that went from a losing season to a helluva alot better season. IMHO Notre Dame never was a legit contender for the NC. Wellingham turned around Notre Dame, they will be a legit NC contender in the years to come.

Yes, the same one. i'm not unaware of their statistics. my comment was really more of a reaction to Mike Francesa on Mike and the Maddog AM radio show. AM 660 around here.

Mike Francesa loves Notre dame and always tries to make them sound better than they are.

i do agree that the new coach did turn this program around tho. this is the best they've been since lou holtz left.
