There is nothing but death if you enter my home illegally. That's a fact jack.

I don't know why this statement would make any reasonable person angry. Probably because you actually say it? There are millions and millions of homes that if broken into, would result in the same.

All I can say about home invaders: Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Reported. At least keep your personal attacks directed at the poster. Of course, this is modern progressive gun grabber MO..

Can't debate with facts? Start slinging personal attacks.

Weren't you the guy who was whining about how there was some conspiracy against you to report your posts?

I can't imagine any business owner with half a brain would assume putting a sign up that says no guns allowed would prevent any armed robberies. I think it's more of a displaying of their political stance to the customers who enter. Also, maybe the owner thinks he will attract more business because customers know nobody in there would legally be carrying a fire arm.

But then again.. They might be illegally carrying one, regardless of any sign. Overall, I think it's just a show of political views at best. Hell, it might even encourage robbery from somebody just trying to spite the owner.

I know a few nuts here in P&N who'd probably hold a store up at gun point with a sign like that out front just to make a point.

I agree with you guys in spirit, don't get me wrong, it's just the knowledge that not every home invader is a thief, rapist or murderer that makes proclamations like his make me shake my head.

I think that kind of attitude lends itself to mistakes being made, the permanent kind.

I think Spidey has to use a little hyperbole to get the point across, since a tech forum like this lends itself to suburban members, non US-residents, as well as recent immigrants from Asia, who do not understand 2A, and/or who have had no exposure to firearms other than the news. When you feel like you are in the minority and constantly being attacked for your position(s), it is natural to shift into a confrontational gear for that issue.

Even the majority of pro-2A members here don't chime in, because firearms owners tend to not publically discuss it much, for fear of appearing to be a "gun-nut" to the unfamiliar.

Firearms owners are certainly aware of the scrutiny by the PD and DA they will receive should they ever have to use a weapon in self-defense. Some people interpret passion about the right to do so if necessary, as a blood-lust or secret longing for it to happen. I don't want to ever have to make that decision, but you can bet yourself that I have made sure that I will be in a position to do so.

On the other-side, sometimes us gun-owners interpret honest debate about 2A as an all-out attempt to confiscate. However, there is actually plenty of ban/confiscation legislation to point to, much more than otherwise upstanding citizens sitting by their door at night just waiting to kill a drunk who wandered into the wrong house.

Those anti-2A signs are as much about safety as carrying a long-arm into Chipotle.

Both are bone-headed political statements, that I absolutely support until it becomes trespassing, or until it is done only to appease Bloomberg and Co.

Bullshit. Liar. Bullshit.

These kinds of lies cannot be tolerated. Move to your utopia. Or I will send you there with my liberty.

How exactly do you plan on sending ANYONE involuntarily to a place they don't wish to go?

Doubtful. Any self defense shooting or when a home owner shoots an intruder rarely makes it in the news even though it happens every single day.

The time for being nice to those who would infringe upon our rights are over. It's time to get in their face and call them out. Shame them and fight them. Let them know there are very serious consequences if they attempt to deprive Americans of their natural rights.

No compromise.

I welcome your assault and subsequent arrest. I hope that all gun-nuts such as yourself seriously try carry out the plan you've outlined. The sooner your asses are in prison the better for the rest of us. And for the rest of your life, as an ex-con, you won't be allowed to own any firearms. Sweet!

This right here shows the main flaw in a grabber's thinking. Let this sink in a little:

If the person is a criminal like you make them out to be, the legality of them owning firearms is not taken into consideration.

So then, what exactly would a home invader be doing invading a home, if not to steal, rape, or murder? Kidnap? Vandalize? If you illegally enter my home, you will be shot immediately. I don't even carry my guns (I do bring one in a car on long road trips and camping though). I cannot fathom any reason, other than illegal activity, a person would enter my home.

That is not always true. I've heard (in Texas) that having CC permits and committing a crime leads to harsher punishment.

While it is not legal or right to use lethal force on someone if you know that the legal standard to do so has not been met, there is only one person to blame if that happens by mistake. Police constantly use lethal force prematurely once the adrenaline and fear of personal safety enters the scenario. Humans are not machines.

And if the homeowner knows what they are doing, there is only going to be one side to the story that the DA gets.

Again, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Oh - see what the problem is; the robber wasn't gunned down!

I know many of you are disappointed for not seeing a criminal punished by non-law enforcement,... but, don't worry, there are tons of good ole boys out there just hankering to oblige for y'all!!

Are you suggesting through your thinly-veiled racism that it is somehow wrong to defend oneself legally, or that supporting the right to do so is a fringe opinion or though process?

Yikes.

I mean the legality of possessing a firearm is not taken into consideration by a criminal about to commit a crime with said firearm.

Nope - no suggestions whatsoever; I am calling certain creeps on these forums blood thirsty maniacs, who get off on stories of people being gunned down. Even going as far as claiming people who knock on doors at night, looking for help deserve to get shot.

Are you referring to the antis who can't wait to make a gun-control thread every time a psychopath murders innocent people?

by non-law enforcement,...

The irony right there.
